There are two types of notifications in the Haiilo mobile app: push notifications and in-app notifications.
Push notifications
Push notifications can be received for new chat messages, published blog articles (if enabled), and multichannel posts (if enabled). To receive push notifications:
- An admin has to activate push notifications for the platform.
- A user has to enable push notifications in their Notification settings on the browser version of the platform.
- A user has to enable push notifications for the Haiilo app on their mobile device. In the app, you can configure push notifications by going to > Settings > Push notifications.
Additionally, a notification badge can be displayed for chat messages and blog articles as follows:
- For chat messages: The Haiilo app can also display a notification badge displaying the number of unread messages, which is displayed on both Android and iOS.
- For blog articles on pages: A notification badge can also be shown as follows:
- iOS: A badge without a number is displayed, regardless of the actual number of published blog articles.
- Android: A badge with the number 1 is displayed, regardless of the actual number of published blog articles.

In-app notifications
In-app notifications are located in the notification bell in the upper right corner of the app homepage. When the icon is filled and contains a dot, it means that there are new unread notifications. You can mark all notifications read from the double checkmarks icon in the notifications tab.
The mobile in-app notifications are different from the notifications in the browser. In the mobile app, there is one tab with fewer notifications. The following items trigger mobile in-app notifications:
