The Communities dashboard provides data for communities on the platform. A platform admin can view all communities, while individual community admins can only see the communities they manage.
Analyzing your communities helps you uncover the interests and topics that resonate most with your users. You can narrow down the view by choosing a specific date range or applying user filters.
Additionally, by selecting a community in the list, you can open a Community details view, which includes more in-depth data on the specific community and its content.
For more information about the definitions of metrics, refer to Metrics Definitions for New Analytics.
Summary data
This section is only visible to analytics admins.
Analytics admins can view the total number of communities on the platform, broken down into individual widgets for total, public (including protected), private, and their own communities.
Communities overview
You can view a list of communities sorted by the number of Visits, in descending order, for the selected time period. The list includes archived communities. If you're a platform admin, you can see all available communities on the platform and can filter to view the communities you manage using the Only my communities button. If you're a community admin, you can only see your communities in the list.
You can sort the list by any metric or search for a particular community by selecting in the Name header. To dive deeper into a particular community and its content, you can select it to open the Community details view.
Community details
The Community details view provides data for a specific community. At the top, you can find information for the community, including its name, visibility type, creation date, and last update date. Additionally, you can view the current member count, total visits, and total visitors, regardless of the time period, and access the community by selecting .
The Community details view features two sub-tabs: User activity and Content. These sub-tabs display information similar to what is found in the main User activity and Content tabs on the dashboard. However, the data in these sub-tabs is specific to the activity in the selected community and the engagement with the content created in the community.
