You can now view events from your platform in the Studio Calendar alongside your multichannel posts, newsletters, and other content. This gives you one overview of your planned content and the events shaping your company's agenda, so you can plan and coordinate your communications around them. You need "Access Studio" permission to view the calendar.
Basics of events in the calendar
Here's what you can expect:
- Optional display: Events don't appear in the calendar by default. You can turn them on or off at any time.
- Event types: Both public and private events are displayed in the calendar.
- Clear differentiation: Events appear as cards with a colored Event badge, so you can tell them apart from posts, newsletters, and other content at a glance.
- Event details: Each event card displays the event name, image, and time. An all-day or multi-day event appears at the top of the day on the calendar and shows the event name.
-
Event preview: Clicking the card opens the preview, which shows additional event details, including the event status (New, Upcoming, Ongoing, or Past) and the host. Clicking
in the preview opens the event details in a new tab.
- Permission-aware: The calendar respects user permissions, so you only see events you already have access to. Private events you don't have access to don't appear at all. Users in moderator mode can see all events in the calendar.
- Read-only: You can't create, edit, or move events, or respond to them (for example, accept or decline) from the Studio. To do this, open the event page.
- No filters: Filters such as Only my work, Campaigns, and the options under Filter (for example, author, audience, and channel) only affect internal posts and newsletters. Events stay visible as long as the Events toggle is on.
Show events in the calendar
To display events in the Studio calendar, you need to select the option to show them. By default, events do not appear on the calendar.
- Go to Studio > Calendar.
- Select View.
- Turn on the Events toggle.
- To apply, close the pop-up by reselecting View or clicking outside the pop-up.
Your selection is saved, so you don't need to turn on events again each time you open the calendar. To hide events, turn the toggle off.
