Malware Scanner Insights provides visibility into files that were identified as potentially harmful during upload and automatically placed in quarantine by Haiilo.
Every file uploaded to Haiilo is automatically scanned for potential malware as part of Haiilo's standard security measures. Malware Scanner Insights complements this protection by providing regular reporting on quarantined files, helping organizations stay informed about security-related events within their Haiilo environment.
This feature is available as part of the Advanced Security Add-on. Please contact your personal Account Manager for further information.
How does Haiilo protect uploaded files?
Every file uploaded to Haiilo is automatically scanned for potential malware. This security check is already active for all customers.
If a file is identified as potentially harmful during the scan, Haiilo places it in quarantine. This prevents the file from being used or distributed normally within the platform.
The process runs automatically in the background. You do not need to change any settings, install software, or perform your own scans.
What does Malware Scanner Insights provide?
Customers with the Advanced Security Add On receive a report on the first working day of each quarter. The report provides an overview of files that were uploaded during the previous reporting period and quarantined by Haiilo.
The report is delivered through a support ticket and lists the affected files.
This provides greater visibility into whether potentially harmful files have been identified in your Haiilo environment, without requiring you to review technical logs or operate an additional security system.
Do I need to configure anything?
Good news! Malware Scanner Insights does not require any technical changes or configuration on your side.
Haiilo handles the entire process, including:
- Automatically scanning uploaded files.
- Quarantining suspicious files.
- Preparing the quarterly report.
- Delivering the report through a support ticket.
What do I need to do with the report?
The report is provided for informational purposes only. No immediate action is required.
You can use the overview for internal security reviews, documentation purposes, compliance activities, or discussions with your IT and security teams.
How does an example report look like?
Total File Threats Intercepted: 1
System Status: SECURE – All threats have been quarantined successfully.
| Detection Date | Threat Name | File ID | Action Taken |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23.09.2026 14:32:31 | Possible Malware File | a8befbb9-e043-4e1b-89cf-2e2cefd888c0/92678abd-7f3a-4360-8825-039fc471e84a/bbafaece-9d1f-46be-9b6c-a07eca83e9eb | Quarantined |
Are the listed files restored automatically?
No. Files listed in the report will not be restored automatically or in bulk.
A future administration feature is planned to support the review and targeted restoration of quarantined files. Once available, this feature is intended to provide a list of quarantined files together with the relevant restoration options.
Until then, the quarterly report is an informational overview and not an interface for managing or restoring files.
What additional insights are available?
Haiilo is operated as a Software-as-a-Service solution. This means that you do not need to operate or monitor the malware scanner yourself.
The quarterly report is the customer-facing visibility currently available for quarantined files. Additional technical or operational scanner information is not included in the customer-facing service.
Haiilo uses additional information internally to operate the service securely. These technical details are not part of the customer report.
