Understanding read confirmation for Multichannel posts

A Request read confirmation setting in the Studio, when creating a multichannel post, prompts users to confirm they've read your content. This allows you to add a level of importance to your internal comms by asking users to confirm they have read your post.

You can enable read confirmation for a multichannel post when creating it in the Studio. Learn more in Creating Multichannel posts

Understand the user view on read confirmation

Once you publish a multichannel post with read confirmation, users will see a badge or message at the top of the post across various channels, indicating that the post needs to be confirmed as read. On the timeline, this appears as a "To acknowledge" badge.

A user needs to open the full post and select the "I confirm I have read the post" button at the bottom. Once a post has been confirmed as read, the badge/message on channels changes to "Confirmed as read". A user only needs to confirm the post as read on one channel, and it is then marked as read across all channels.

Schedule a read confirmation reminder

You can schedule a read-confirmation reminder for a multichannel post, allowing you to send a new nudge to the users in the post's target audience who haven't yet confirmed they've read it. Reminders can be scheduled when creating the post or later by editing it. A reminder can be sent only once per post.

When scheduling a reminder, you choose a date and time for it to be sent, as well as the channels to which it will be sent. The channels you can choose from depend on what's activated for your platform. However, you can send a reminder on any activated channel, even if you didn't originally publish the post to that channel. For example, you can send a reminder on MS Teams even if you only posted the original message on the timeline.

A read confirmation reminder includes a standard message, such as "You missed some news, please confirm that you have read it," followed by the teaser title and a link to the original post.

Selecting Notification as a channel sends a notification to the platform's notification bell, in both the browser and mobile app.

Review analytics for read confirmation

You can view the number and percentage of users in the post's total target audience who have confirmed reading the post in the Analytics with the Confirmations metric.
