A Request read confirmation setting in the Studio, when creating a multichannel post, prompts users to confirm they've read your content. This allows you to add a level of importance to your internal comms by asking users to confirm they have read your post.
You can enable read confirmation for a multichannel post when creating it in the Studio. Learn more in Creating Multichannel posts.
Optionally, you can activate a setting for your platform that allows editors to export a list of users with first name, last name, and email who have not yet confirmed reading a post with read confirmation enabled. By default, this setting is deactivated for all platforms, meaning such a report cannot be downloaded. Learn more below.
Understand the user view on read confirmation
Once you publish a multichannel post with read confirmation, users will see a badge or message at the top of the post across various channels, indicating that the post needs to be confirmed as read. On the timeline, this appears as a "To acknowledge" badge.
A user needs to open the full post and select the "I confirm I have read the post" button at the bottom. Once a post has been confirmed as read, the badge/message on channels changes to "Confirmed as read". A user only needs to confirm the post as read on one channel, and it is then marked as read across all channels.

Schedule read confirmation reminders
You can schedule or instant-send read-confirmation reminders for a multichannel post, allowing you to send new nudges to the users in the post's target audience who haven't yet confirmed they've read it. Learn more in Scheduling read confirmation reminders.
Review analytics for read confirmation
In the Content details for a post in the Analytics, you can view the number and percentage of users in the post's total target audience who have confirmed reading the post with the Confirmations metric.
Additionally, in the Interactions graph, you'll find a breakdown of read confirmations by time period. It also shows the dates when reminders were sent for the post.
In the Studio Calendar, you can filter to see only posts that require read confirmation, and you can also see a snapshot of confirmation analytics in the mini preview, including how many people out of the total audience have confirmed reading the post.
Download a list of users who haven't confirmed reading a post (activation required)
If you need to ensure that all employees see and confirm they've read important messages, you can choose to activate a feature for your platform, which allows Studio editors to download a list of users' first names, last names, and emails for those who haven't yet confirmed reading a particular post. This way, you can easily follow up with these specific users to remind them to read it.
Downloading the list of users with pending read confirmation is available only to the post author, collaborators, or users in moderator mode.
Activate the download capability
To be able to download read confirmation lists for posts, you first need to activate this capability for your platform. By default, this setting is deactivated, which means the report cannot be downloaded. You need "Multichannel administration" permission to activate this setting.
- Go to Administration > Multichannel > Read confirmation.
- Toggle the setting for User list with pending read confirmation to ON.
- If you're enabling this setting for the first time, confirm your choice.
- Select Save changes.
The setting is enabled, and Studio editors can now download a list of users who have not confirmed reading one of their posts that requires read confirmation.
Download the list of users
Once the download capability is activated for your platform, post authors, collaborators, and users in moderator mode can download a list of users for posts requiring read confirmation as follows:
- Go to Studio > Dashboard.
- In the My published work section, find the post for which you want to download the report and select
- Alternatively, you can also download the list from the Calendar by opening a Reminder mini preview card.
- Select Pending users in the list.
The report is exported to your computer as a .csv file. The file includes the name of the post and a list of users who haven't confirmed reading the post. If a particular user from the target audience isn't included in the list, it means they have already confirmed reading the post.
Because data syncs at different times, the number of users listed at the time of download might sometimes differ slightly from the number of Confirmations shown in the Analytics for the same post.
