Displaying blog articles in the Studio Calendar

You can now view your blog articles from pages within the Studio Calendar alongside your multichannel posts and newsletters, enabling you to plan, coordinate, and get a complete overview of all your official content across your platform. You need "Access Studio" permission to view the calendar.

Basics of blog articles in the calendar

Here's what you can expect:

  • Unified Calendar View: Scheduled and published blog articles from pages appear in the Studio calendar alongside Studio-created content. Articles from deactivated blog apps, archived articles, and articles from communities are not visible in the calendar.
  • Clear Differentiation: Blog articles look different from Studio content, making it easy to tell them apart quickly. All blog articles for a single day are grouped into one box, which displays the total number of articles published or scheduled for that day. You can see the full list of blog articles by clicking on the box.
  • Essential Details: Each blog entry shows only its teaser title in the calendar, with no page or app name. Hovering over articles doesn't show a preview.
  • Quick Access: While you cannot make edits to blog articles within the Studio, a simple click on the calendar entry will take you directly to the article itself. If you have permission, you can edit it there.
  • Permission-Aware: The calendar respects user permissions, meaning you can only see blog articles you're allowed to view on the platform. Users in moderator mode can see all blog articles in the calendar.

Activate blog articles in the calendar

To display blog articles in the Studio calendar, you need to apply a filter. By default, blog articles do not appear in the calendar.

  1. Go to Studio > Calendar.
  2. Select the icon.
  3. At the bottom of the filter pop-up, next to Blog articles, you can choose:
    • All: Display all blog articles from all pages.
    • Select pages: Display blog articles from specific selected pages. This can be useful if you only want blogs from official communication channels, such as HR or Company News pages, to appear in the calendar.
  4. Select Apply filter.
