Enabling Haiilo's user satisfaction tool

With Haiilo's user satisfaction tool, you can allow your users to share their input on the platform via an in-platform mini-survey. This provides you with valuable insights to enhance your platform while contributing to Haiilo's efforts to improve the user experience.

This is a mutually beneficial approach: you can improve your intranet using actual feedback from your users, while Haiilo gains insight into how end-users truly feel about our product. This understanding helps shape our product development to build features that genuinely address users' needs.

How does it work?

We collect user satisfaction feedback from both the browser and mobile app separately, so users might see the survey on both platforms. This way, we can gather feedback specific to each platform, helping to understand users' experiences better. All feedback is anonymous.

Browser experience

The web survey asks, "Do you enjoy using your intranet?" and offers a 1 to 5 rating scale, with 1 indicating "Not at all" and 5 indicating "Very much." Users can take the following actions:

  • Choose a rating: After selecting any rating, a follow-up screen appears where the user can optionally give open-ended feedback about the platform. Once submitted, the survey closes and will not reappear for 90 days.
  • Dismiss the survey: By dismissing the survey with the X sign, the user opts out of answering this time. The survey disappears and doesn't appear again for 90 days.

Mobile app experience

The mobile app survey appears on the mobile app timeline, below the first couple of posts, so it doesn't appear as the first thing a user sees.

The survey asks, "Do you enjoy using *app name*?" Here, *app name* will be Haiilo if you're using the standard mobile app, or the specific name of your personalized whitelabel app. The survey offers a 1 to 5 rating scale, with 1 indicating "Not at all" and 5 indicating "Very much." Users can take the following actions:

  • Choose a rating: After selecting any rating, a follow-up screen appears where the user can optionally give open-ended feedback about the platform. Once submitted, the survey closes and will not reappear for 90 days.
  • Dismiss the survey: By dismissing the survey with the X sign or if the user scrolls past the survey on the timeline three times, they opt out of answering this time. The survey disappears and doesn't appear again for 90 days

Where can I see the collected data?

The data from the browser user satisfaction survey is shown in Haiilo Analytics, allowing you to view ratings and open feedback from your platform's users. This user satisfaction information is only accessible to an Analytics Admin.

Currently, data from the mobile app user satisfaction survey has not yet been incorporated into the analytics.

All user satisfaction data from your platform is also accessible to Haiilo, helping us improve and shape our product development to better serve you and your users.

How can I deactivate/activate it?

The user satisfaction tool is activated by default, but you can choose to deactivate it.

  1. Go to Administration > Features > Miscellaneous.
  2. Scroll down to the User satisfaction section.
  3. Toggle the Enable measuring of user satisfaction ON or OFF.

Changes to activation or deactivation apply to both the browser and mobile app. You cannot enable the survey on one platform without enabling it on the other.
