The Complete profile widget shows a list of six actions for users to complete when they start using the platform. Completed actions are marked with a symbol, while pending actions are marked with a symbol. We suggest placing the widget on the homepage that new users first see when they join the platform so they can easily find tips on getting started!
The six actions are:
- Fill in your profile details: The user fills in at least one field on their user profile.
- Upload a profile picture: The user uploads a profile image to their user profile.
- Upload a cover picture: The user uploads a cover image to their user profile.
- Follow a user: The user follows another user. Users to follow can be found in the Colleagues list.
- Follow a page: The user subscribes to a page. Being auto-subscribed to pages doesn't count; the user needs to manually subscribe to a page.
- Post something on your wall: The user posts something on any timeline element, including their personal profile timeline, a timeline in a page or community, and so on.
Once a user has completed all six actions, the widget disappears because they've finished all the required actions for their profile.
If an admin completes any action for the user while in moderator mode, such as uploading a cover or profile image, the widget will count it as the user completing the action.
Set up the widget
The widget sets itself up as soon as it's added – no configuration is needed. It's super easy and hassle-free! However, if you wish, you can customize the title from the widget menu to best suit your use case.
