You can unpublish Multichannel posts that you have created, or if you have moderator access. You need "Access Studio", "Create, edit and delete posts", and "Publish posts" permissions to unpublish posts.
Once a post is unpublished, it can no longer be found in search or in any platform areas where it was previously located, including the timeline, digital signage, the multichannel posts widget, and Slack or MS Teams channels, if they were selected. The post will remain in the email channel, as emails that are sent cannot be edited. All analytics data will be retained for the post.
An unpublished post cannot be edited or republished, but you can duplicate or delete it.
Unpublish a post
A post creator can set a date and time for unpublishing when creating or editing the post. Alternatively, a post can be unpublished immediately by opening a published post in the editor.
Set an unpublish date and time during post creation
- When creating a post, toggle Unpublish date.
- Choose a date and time for when you want the post to be unpublished.
- Continue creating the post as usual.
After publishing, the post will automatically unpublish on the date and time you choose.
Unpublish a post immediately
- Find and open the post you want to unpublish from Dashboard > My published posts > Posts or by searching in the Calendar and selecting it in the mini-preview.
- Alternatively, you can also access the post from the timeline by selecting > Open in Studio.
- Select Unpublish in the editor toolbar.
- Select Unpublish post in the pop-up that appears to confirm.
The post is immediately unpublished and removed from all areas.
Find unpublished posts
Users with access to the Studio can find their unpublished posts in Dashboard > My published posts > Unpublished posts. Furthermore, all unpublished posts can be found in the Calendar by filtering by Include unpublished posts.
Unpublished posts in the Studio display an Unpublished label and provide information on by whom and when it was unpublished.
Delete an unpublished post
You can delete unpublished posts in Dashboard > My published posts > Unpublished posts by selecting > Delete. Alternatively, open the post in the editor and select > Delete.
Deleting a multichannel post also removes all associated analytics data. This action is irreversible.
