Use case: Create a task list with the List app

List apps offer numerous ways of implementing useful applications in Haiilo. We’ll show you what a task list might look like and what the individual steps in creating it involve.

What might a task management list look like?

The example shown here is a form for creating and managing tasks.

What fields do I need and how do I configure the list?

The initial list when you create the app is intentionally empty. The possible field combinations and designations are as varied as the possible uses of a dynamic list. You can thus tailor the list precisely to suit your needs.

You can easily add more fields by clicking on the advanced options and opening the field configuration. Here you can add and remove any number of fields.

Note:
If you remove fields that have already been filled in, the content is lost and cannot be restored.

 

How do I add descriptions to the fields?

Any field in a list can be given a description that is only visible to users when completing the list. Open editing mode for the individual field and enter the appropriate text under “Description”.

Our example shows a possible description for a text box:
