The new Rich Text Editor (RTE) widget lets you create and edit content in a more modern, consistent way directly within your existing workflows. The new editor brings a similar editing experience from the Studio to the Intranet, creating a more consistent way to work across both. The new RTE is available on both the browser and mobile versions of your platform.
If enabled for your platform, you can use AVA, Haiilo's AI Writing Assistant, directly in the new editor to draft, improve, and refine content without leaving the page.
The new widget is introduced alongside the existing rich text editor, so you can adopt it gradually. When activating the new RTE widget, keep the existing RTE widget active as well. Do not deactivate the existing RTE widget, as content created with it will no longer be displayed on your platform.
To help you get started, the new RTE widget will be used by default for blog and wiki articles. When adding additional RTE widgets to new articles, we recommend using the new RTE consistently to avoid mixing the two editors and creating an inconsistent editing experience.
Set up the widget
When added, the new RTE widget has no configuration settings; it simply adds a text box with various options for formatting text and adding additional elements.
