Certain file formats can generate a preview upon uploading, or they allow you to view the file directly in a file preview pop-up within the platform without needing to download it. The preview is meant to help identify the document; for full quality, the file should be opened. Files that don't provide a preview must be downloaded to be viewed locally on your device.
The way files appear in the preview differs. PDFs are displayed directly, making previews clear and easy to scroll through. Microsoft files like Word are displayed as images, so their previews might look softer.
Previews for attachments and media uploaded from Google Drive or SharePoint are not displayed. Users must open these files in their respective applications to view them.
