Creating digital signage screens

You can create digital signage screens in the Studio to display multichannel posts. You need "Manage digital signage screens" permission to create and manage digital signage screens and "Add content to digital signage screens" to add posts to digital signage screens.

Create a digital signage screen

  1. Go to the Studio from the main navigation bar.
  2. Select Digital Signage > Create screen.
  3. Provide a name for your screen. This name will appear in the Studio, helping you identify the screen later if you need to manage it or add posts to it in the Studio editor. We recommend choosing a descriptive name, such as "Reception Area News."
  4. Optionally, you can also specify a location for your screen. Similar to the name, the location is visible in the Studio and serves as another way to identify the screen in case you have multiple similar screen names. For example, "Hamburg Office."
  5. Select a language. This determines the language in which posts are displayed on the screen, provided the posts were created in that language. If posts are not available in the selected language, they will still display, but in the language in which they were created first.
  6. Choose the transition style between posts: Fade, Slide, or Coverflow. By default, Fade is selected.
  7. Enter a number to set how many seconds each slide appears before moving to the next. The default duration is 10 seconds.
  8. If you have permission to add content to screens, you can add already published or scheduled multichannel posts to the screen by selecting Add new on the left and choosing the posts from the list. There is no limit to the number of posts you can add.
  9. Select Create to create the screen.

Your screen is created and ready to be set up on your company's monitor. Learn more in Displaying a digital signage screen on a monitor.

If you need to access and edit the screen, you can find it in the Digital Signage Screens list. You can access the screen's settings by selecting open link icon.png and delete it by selecting delete icon.png.
