Viewing data breakdown by web or mobile in New Haiilo Analytics

You can explore specific metrics in Haiilo's Analytics dashboard to see a detailed breakdown of data for both the web and mobile app. This allows you to understand how your users use the platform on the web and mobile app.

The drill-down feature is available for the following metrics: Visits, Visitors, Average Session/Usage, and Active (Viewing) Users across the analytics pages.

View the breakdown

  1. Under a metric that supports drilling down, you'll see a  analytics drill down icon.png icon. Select it.
  2. In the drill-down, you can view a detailed breakdown of the selected metric by the following categories:
    • Web (Desktop): Data collected from the web app, that is, through a browser on a computer.
    • iOS: Data collected from the iOS mobile application (standard or white-label app).
    • Android: Data collected from the Android mobile application (standard or white-label app).
    • Web (Mobile): Data collected from a mobile device's browser.
    • Other: Data collected from previous Haiilo mobile applications, including Classic and Engage.

In the example below, we can see that out of 37 active users during the specified time period, 36 accessed the platform on a desktop browser, 4 used the mobile app on an iOS device, 2 used the mobile app on an Android device, and 2 accessed through a mobile browser app. Some users accessed the platform on both web and mobile, as the breakdown accounts for those who viewed it on multiple devices.

A note on total vs. application calculation

In the breakdown, you might notice that the numbers don't always add up to the total sum. This is expected and results from the method used to calculate the breakdown. For example, let's examine the average session length:

  1. The Total Average Session Length is determined by dividing the total session length from all applications by the total number of sessions from all applications. (Total session length from all applications / Number of sessions from all applications)
  2. In contrast, in the breakdown, the iOS Average Session Length is calculated by dividing the total session length on iOS by the number of sessions on iOS. (Total session length iOS / Number of sessions iOS)

As a result, the overall total can be heavily impacted by the number of sessions across all applications, particularly when some applications have short session durations.
