Understanding timeline post visibility

When you publish a timeline post, how it displays on users' newsfeed timelines depends on who you selected as the author and the location where you published it.

Let's examine several scenarios to help visualize the concept:

Additionally, posts are always visible on the timeline where they were published, meaning that any user with access to the location timeline can find the post. For example, a post on a public page's timeline can be seen by anyone who visits the page, and the post is also searchable.

In contrast, a post on a private community's timeline can only be accessed by community members, since the community cannot be found or accessed by other users. The post can also not be found in the search by non-members.
