You can create your email newsletters in multiple languages. When a newsletter is available in multiple languages, it will be displayed to users in their preferred language. You can provide your newsletter in additional languages if your platform has activated multi-language.
If the newsletter is not available in the user's preferred language, it will be displayed in the default platform language set in the Administration. Alternatively, if the newsletter is not available in the user's preferred language or the default language, it will be displayed in the language in which it was first created in the Studio.
Provide your newsletter in another language
The editor preselects the newsletter's first language as the platform language defined in your Account settings. To add more languages, follow these steps:
- Select next to the original language
- Choose a language in which you want to provide the newsletter. Only languages that have been activated in the Administration can be added.
- Choose an option:
- Copy existing content: You can copy the newsletter content from another language that you've already written the newsletter in, allowing you to see the original content while writing the newsletter in the new language.
- Start from scratch: You can start with a blank editor in the new language, enabling you to write the newsletter from scratch.
- Auto-translate existing content: If your Haiilo platform uses automatic translations, you can auto-translate the newsletter into the desired language with DeepL or Microsoft Translate. You can still edit the newsletter after it has been translated.
- Select Add language
- Repeat for every language you want to provide the newsletter in
Each language version of the newsletter is displayed as a separate tab in the editor so you can navigate between your versions.
While you can define the subject for each language, the other newsletter settings can only be adjusted when in the first language the newsletter was created in.
