You can create your multichannel posts in multiple languages, enabling users to receive your news in a language they understand. This not only enhances clarity but also ensures your message resonates with everyone in your organization, making communication more inclusive and effective. Your platform needs to have activated multi-language for you to create your posts in multiple languages.
When a post is available in multiple languages, it will automatically display to users in their preferred language based on their account settings. If the post isn't available in the user's preferred language, it will be displayed in the default platform language set in the Administration. Alternatively, if the post is not available in the user's preferred language or the default language, it will be displayed in the language in which it was first created in the Studio.
Provide a post in another language
The editor preselects the post's first language as the platform language defined in your Account settings. To add more languages, follow these steps:
- Select next to the original language
- Choose a language in which you want to provide the post. Only languages that have been activated in the Administration can be added.
- Choose an option:
- Copy existing content: You can copy the post content from another language that you've already written the post in, allowing you to see the original content while writing the post in the new language.
- Start from scratch: You can start with a blank editor in the new language, enabling you to write the post from scratch.
- Auto-translate existing content: If your Haiilo platform uses automatic translations, you can auto-translate the post into the desired language with DeepL or Microsoft Translate. You can still edit the post after it has been translated.
- Select Add language
- Repeat for every language you want to provide the post in
Each language version of the post is displayed as a separate tab in the editor so you can navigate between your versions.
While you can define a teaser for each language, the other post settings can only be adjusted when in the first language the post was created in.
