You can initiate a private or 1-1 chat to communicate directly with another user. This chat will be exclusively between you and the other user.

Start a 1-1 chat

1. In the chat list, select    in the browser and on iOS. On Android, select   
2. Search for the user you want to chat with
3. Select the user
4. Start your conversation

Alternatively, you can also go to the user's profile or find them in the colleagues list and select Message to start a chat with them.
