The Online users widget shows the number of unique users that are currently active on the platform. The activity is measured by those with an active WebSocket connection. Users can select the displayed number to open the Colleagues list with the Availability filter automatically applied. This allows them to view other active users on the platform, making it easy to contact someone if needed.

The Online filter on the Colleagues list shows users who have an active WebSocket connection and have set their status to Online. As a result, the active users on the Colleagues list can sometimes be lower than those within the widget.
