You can edit or duplicate blog articles. Editing an article allows you to modify the content or settings, while duplicating allows you to use an existing blog article as a template for a new article.
Depending on the app's publishing permissions, you may need to be an admin of the page or community to edit or duplicate blog articles.
Edit a blog article
You can edit both a draft article and a published article.
- Go to your blog app
- Select > Edit on the article you want to edit
- Make changes to the content and settings of the article using the same options available during the article creation process.
- If, for example, you want to disable commenting, you can check Disable further commenting on this blog article. This will allow users to view all previously posted comments, but they won't be able to add new ones.
- Select Save to save the updated article
Users aren't notified of updates to published blog articles unless you change the published date and re-trigger the notifications. If you change the publication date, the blog article isn't visible to users until it re-publishes.
An edited blog article overwrites the previous version. You cannot restore an earlier version of a blog article.
Duplicate a blog article
- Go to your blog app
- Select > Duplicate on the article you want to duplicate
When you duplicate a blog article, a new draft with the same content and settings is created. The title of the duplicated article will have "Copy of" added to the start of the original title to distinguish it from the original article. You can then edit the article to modify the content and publish it as needed.
