You can access and use the launchpad if you have the "Access the launchpad" permission. From the launchpad, you can quickly access the company tools and resources that have been added for you. Optionally, you might be able to create your own links.
For information on creating launchpad links, personal or company-wide, read Managing links in the launchpad.
Using the quick launchpad
Select the icon in the navigation bar to open the quick launchpad as a pop-up. Alternatively, you can press the L key on your keyboard to open it.
The quick launchpad displays your favorite links. Initially, three links are shown, but you can scroll the list to view a maximum of 20 of your favorite links. The links are displayed in the order of your categories, with the links of the first category being displayed first, followed by the links of the subsequent categories.
All your launchpad links are also accessible through quick search by pressing S or F on your keyboard and typing to find a link.
Using the full launchpad
Select Open when viewing the quick launchpad to open the full launchpad.
The launchpad shows your company's launchpad categories and links that have been assigned to you. The links you see should be relevant to you. To open a link source, simply select a launchpad link, and the source will open.
You can customize the appearance of your launchpad using filters. Your choices will be saved for your next visit.
- Categories: When viewing the launchpad as a list, you can jump to a certain category's links by selecting it in the list. The categories are defined by the admins. Learn more in Creating launchpad categories.
- Grid view: You can display the links in a grid view instead of a list. A grid view allows you to view more links in your browser window without needing to scroll through a list.
- URL preview: You can opt for a compact view which doesn't display the URLs for each link.
If your company uses Haiilo's Microsoft integration, you can also see your Microsoft 365 apps directly on the launchpad.
Mark a link as a favorite
You can mark links as favorites to show them in the quick launchpad.
- Open the launchpad by selecting > Open
- Select the icon next to a link you want to mark as a favorite
Your favorite links will be displayed the next time you access the quick launchpad. In the full launchpad, they are also displayed at the top of a category. Your favorite links can be distinguished by a icon. If needed, you can unmark a link as a favorite by selecting that icon.
Currently, Microsoft 365 apps in the launchpad cannot be marked as favorites.
