Adding tables in the rich text editor

Incorporating tables alongside your text in the rich text editor can significantly improve the clarity of presenting information. Tables allow for organized and structured data presentation, making it easier for readers to comprehend and analyze the information.

Add a table

To add a table, select More options > Table icon in the editor toolbar. You can then choose the number of rows and columns to start your table. Additional rows and columns can be added later.

After adding a table to the editor, you can start filling it with text and content. Additionally, you can access formatting options by selecting a cell or highlighting multiple cells. These options include:

  • Horizontal alignment: Decide how the text inside the cell is aligned horizontally. You can choose between left, right, center, or justify.
  • Vertical alignment: Decide how the text inside your cell is aligned vertically. You can choose between top, middle, or bottom.
  • Table alignment: Change the alignment of your table. You can choose between left, right, or center or float it to the left or right of your text. Additionally, you can change the width of the table or its columns by hovering over a column divider line and dragging left or right.
  • Cell background: Change the color of a cell's background. You can choose from a list of default colors. Alternatively, you can define a custom color by inputting a HEX code.
  • Style: Choose styles to change your table's appearance. You can, for example, remove its borders and add stripes. You can select multiple styles.
  • Header: Select the add a header row to the top of your table. A header row is distinguished by bold text and a thicker border below it.
  • Row (insert or delete): Add a new row below or above the selected row or remove the selected row.
  • Column (insert or delete): Add a new column to the left or right of the selected column or remove the selected column.
  • Cell (merge or split): Split a cell into two, either vertically or horizontally. If you highlight two or more cells, you can also merge the cells into one.
  • Remove: Remove the table from the editor.
