You set up communication channels for your post creators to distribute content in the Studio. Find these settings in Administration > Multichannel > Communication channels. Enable a channel by toggling it ON. You need "Multichannel administration" permission to access these settings.
Timeline
Published posts are visible on the timelines of the targeted audience. Additionally, you can choose whether to allow post creators to enable or disable commenting and reactions for their posts. If these options are turned off, the posts won't display any options for commenting or reacting.
After publication, a Studio post appears on the newsfeed timeline of each targeted user, as well as on a page timeline or a user's personal timeline, depending on who is set as the publisher for the post. However, the post is only visible to users belonging to the targeted audience.
Push notifications
Published posts are sent as push notifications to the targeted audience. The notification shows the post's teaser title, which you can select to open the full post in the mobile app.
To enable push notifications in Administration > Multichannel, you first need to activate push notifications as a notification option in the System settings. Learn more in Activating notification options.
Published posts are sent via email to the targeted audience. The email subject is the post's title. You can view the full post in the email or select to open it on the platform.
By default, posts are sent from the email address no-reply@haiilo.app, and the email sender is your platform's network name. You can define a custom sender email and name with the Custom Domain add-on. Learn more in Custom email address.
Furthermore, for platforms running on a Private Cloud, you can use your own email service provider (ESP).
Slack
Published posts are delivered as messages in the Slack app to the targeted audience. In Slack, you can see the teaser title, image, and text of the post, and click on it to view the full post on the platform.
Learn more in the Setting up a Slack integration article.
Microsoft Teams
Requires the Microsoft add-on.
Published posts are delivered as messages to the targeted audience within the Microsoft Teams app. On Teams, you can view the teaser title, image, and text of the post, and click on it to see the full content.
By setting up Haiilo's Microsoft Teams app, your users can receive these Studio notifications alongside notifications for Intranet features such as new blog articles, community invites, mentions, etc. The app also offers a homepage experience that allows users to view your Haiilo platform directly within Teams.
Learn how to set up the Microsoft Teams app in Setting up a Microsoft Teams app (Public Cloud) or Setting up a Microsoft Teams app (Private Cloud).
Once you've set everything up, activate the Microsoft Teams channel in Multichannel> Communication channels. This way, post creators will be able to choose Teams as a channel when creating posts in the Studio.
