You set up the communication channels that your post creators can enable for content distribution in the Studio. These settings can be found in Administration > Multichannel > Communication channels. You need "Multichannel administration" permission to access the settings.
Timeline
Published posts are visible on the timelines of the targeted audience. Additionally, you can choose whether to allow post creators to enable or disable commenting and reactions for their posts. If these options are turned off, the posts won't display any options for commenting or reacting.
The post is only visible in the newsfeed timeline of each targeted user and not on any page or community timeline, or a user's personal timeline.
Push notifications
Published posts are sent as push notifications to the targeted audience. The notification shows the post's teaser title, which you can select to open the full post in the mobile app.
To enable push notifications in Administration > Multichannel, you first need to activate push notifications as a notification option in the System settings. Learn more in Activating notification options.
Published posts are sent via email to the targeted audience. You can view the full post in the email and can select to open it on the platform.
You can use the default sender name and email or set up a custom email address and sender name of your choice.
Learn more in the Email notifications and Custom email address articles.
Slack
Published posts are sent as messages in the Slack app to the targeted audience. You can view the post's teaser title, image, and text in Slack and select it to open the full post on the platform.
