Introduction and definition
In order to build up a functional "Roles & Rights Concept" for your survey module, you need to define which persons within the survey module should get the role "Admin" and who needs the role "Manager".
Admin
An admin has full rights in the survey module. This person can view all group-specific and company-wide results, provide all available segments and groups of people with surveys and administer the module. This role should only be held by very selected people.
Manager
A manager can view and evaluate campaign results just like an admin. The difference is that, unlike an admin, the view granted is limited to the manager's own area or team. In addition, it can be defined individually for each manager whether they can create and send campaigns of their own (to their respective team).
In order for a manager to be able to view the results of the team assigned to him or her, the supervisor relationship must be correctly maintained in the synchronized user directory. If the supervisor relationship is not maintained, the role "Manager" does not apply and the corresponding person cannot use the survey module.
Hint: Only results from groups of five or more people can be viewed. This guarantees the anonymity of the answers given.
Procedure
- First, check whether the supervisor relationship is maintained in the user directory you linked. If this is the case, synchronise this information with your Haiilo platform. You can read how to do this here.
- In a second step, you define which persons are to receive the authorisation "Company dashboard access" and will thus be admins of the module in the future. At the same point, you assign the permission "Access to dashboard (managers)" to your future managers. Since only very selected persons should be administrators of the module, this results in two separate roles and groups of persons.
To do this, enter the administration of your Haiilo platform and click first on "User management" and then on "Roles". Here you create a role for the future "admins" as well as for the "managers".
Hint: You have bundled your managers in a group within the synchronized user directory? Very good! Simply assign the manager role to the corresponding synchronized group and thus equip the right persons with the required authorisation with one click. - Now decide which managers will not only be able to view the results of their team, but also create and send their own campaigns.
To do this, go to the survey module, enter the administration of the module via the tab "Organization" and click on "Users".
Here you click on one of the desired users with the role "Manager", select the tab "Rights" and activate (or deactivate) the slider of the option "Allow creating campaigns".
