Advocacy: Share to Twitter or Xing

Share to Twitter

You can easily share content from Haiilo to Twitter by clicking the Twitter icon under a post. You can share Link, Article, Image and Video posts to Twitter.

The sharing window is different depending on the type of post you share

  • When sharing a Link, Article or Video post, you can write a sharing message for your share and then choose whether to Schedule, Smart share or Share now.

  • When sharing an Image post, you first have to choose which images you wish to share, if the post contains multiple images. For Twitter, you can share up to four images at once. If the post in Haiilo contains five images, you can only choose four to be shared at once. After selecting your images, you can write your sharing message and choose to Schedule, Smart share or Share now.

Once shared, Twitter can display your share from Haiilo in different ways. For shared Link and Article posts, there are two different share cards for Twitter: a large image with the text underneath or a smaller image with text to the right. For image posts, the way the share is displayed depends on the number of images you share. See the images below for examples on how your shares might look on the Twitter feed.

The way your share is displayed on Twitter depends on how Twitter chooses to display your post.

Share to Xing

You can easily share content from Haiilo to Xing by clicking the Xing icon under a post. You can share Link and Article posts from Haiilo to Xing.

When you click the sharing icon for Xing, it will open a small sharing window that will show you the post you want to share, however in order to write your own sharing message and choose where on Xing to share your post, click 'Continue to Xing'.

This will open the share in Xing where you can see your post and choose where you want the post to be shared. You can choose between Share on Xing (your feed), Share in a chat message or Share with a group. You can also add a sharing message and edit which of your contacts can see your share by setting it to Public or Private.

Once shared, Xing displays your share according to where you chose to share it to. 

The way your share is displayed on Twitter depends on how Twitter chooses to display your post.
