Advocacy: I receive an error when uploading an image in Haiilo. Why?

The Employee Advocacy platform articles are relocating! Please visit the new Employee Advocacy platform knowledge base to continue reading these articles in the future.

If you receive one of the below errors when uploading an image into a post in Haiilo, the most likely cause is the file name.

  • TypeError: Type Error
  • TypeError: Failed to execute 'setRequestHeader' on 'XMLHttpRequest': String contains non ISO-8859-1 code point.

Haiilo does not accept image files with special characters or non-Latin alphabet characters in the file name. We recommend checking your image's file name and ensuring it contains no unsupported characters, e.g., € or ä. If it does, edit the name to be only words and then try uploading the image in Haiilo again.

If your image file name contains no unsupported characters, contact our Service Desk for further help.
