Studio Content Analytics

This article covers content analytics for the Studio. For details on the intranet content analytics, see Intranet Content Analytics.

The Content page with Studio metrics focuses on how content is created, viewed, and perceived through engagement responses. Tracking this information is essential to understand your audience's preferences and behaviors, enabling you to tailor your content strategies for maximum impact. You can narrow down the view by choosing a specific date range or applying user filters

Additionally, by selecting a content item in the list, you can open a Content details view, which includes more in-depth data on the specific content item.

For more information about the definitions of metrics, refer to Metrics Definitions for Haiilo Analytics.

Created content

Created content includes the total number of studio posts and newsletters created on your platform.

The line graph shows changes over time, allowing you to hover over specific points to see the breakdown of created content for a given period. You can also focus on a single metric by deselecting the others under the graph.

By dragging and highlighting a section of the graph, you can zoom in to view a snapshot of that specific time period. Select undo analytics.png to return to your chosen time frame.

Interaction

You can access data on user interactions, such as comments and reactions to better understand your users' level of engagement with your content. Similarly to the above, you can interact with the line graph to narrow your focus.

Content performance

The Content performance table provides detailed analytics for each of your posts and newsletters, helping you identify your top-performing content. The section includes two tabs: Studio posts / Posts and articles, and Newsletters and emails. The metrics displayed in each list differ based on the content type.

You can configure the table to specify the included content and whether filters are applied to the metrics. Select Configure table to select:

Display content: Choose which content to include in the table:

  • Created: This includes posts and newsletters created in the time period. Creation doesn't equal publication. For example, a studio post can be created and drafted weeks before it's published.
  • Published: This includes posts and newsletters published in the time period. Published means when the content was actually sent or made public to users.
  • Active: This includes any posts that have been viewed, commented on, reacted to, or shared during the time period. For example, a studio post that received a view in the time period, though it was originally published months before.

Metrics: Select whether your current filters (date and user) are applied to the table or if all-time data is displayed.

  • Show all time data: The metrics include all-time data, meaning totals for the entire period the content has been active. This means that, regardless of the filters you've selected, the Comments, Views, Engagement rate, etc., will display the totals for the content and are not affected by the filters.
  • Show filtered data: The metrics are influenced by your selected filters. For example, if you choose the date filter Last 28 days and a Department filter, the table will only display metrics for those filters, meaning data from the last 28 days and by users in the chosen department.

For example, to identify which of your published posts from the previous month performed the best, choose: Display content: Published and Metrics: Show filtered data, and set a date filter for the previous month. This will update the table to display content published in the selected month and show metrics for that month only.

You can sort the table by any metric. If you wish to narrow down to a specific content item, you can search by selecting    in the Title header. When you hover over a post's title, you'll be able to see the full title without any cut-off, making it easier to read.

You can select a content item to open the Content details view, which allows you to explore data for that particular content item further.

Content details

The Content details view provides data for a specific content item. At the top, you can find information for the item, including its title, creation date, and publication date. Also, you can see its total data regardless of time period, e.g., the total number of views, reach, read confirmations, and so on, that it's collected over time. You can open the content item itself by selecting  .

Finally, you can explore the sentiment breakdown of comments and reactions, as well as the reactions to the content item, in corresponding donut charts. You can use filters to refine the results to view the breakdown for a specific company, department, or location.
